History of Southern New Mexico SHRM
Established in 1979 with 34 members, the organization has grown to over 100 members throughout Southern New Mexico. SNMSHRM is a not for profit professional association for HR professionals and anyone with a bona-fide interest in the HR profession.
SNMSHRM is an affiliate of SHRM, the Society for Human Resource Management. The Southern New Mexico Society for Human Resource Management is dedicated to enhancing all aspects of human resource management. Each month you have an opportunity to network with professionals in your community as well as enjoy some professional development!

Meetings & Events
Currently our program meetings are held Virtually online. Typically we meet on the second Thursday of the month, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
On occasion, our meeting time may be changed or extended, so please watch the website and our newsletters to be sure you have the correct time for our programs.
In 2021, we will hold our 37th Annual Employment Law Update (ELU) in October in place of our regular monthly meeting. This year it will be an Interactive Virtual Event taking place over two half-days! Specifics on the dates and times will be announced through our ELU section. We make every attempt to have all of our programs pre-approved for both SHRM PDCs and HRCI credit hours.
