    This program will provide HR professionals information and best practices on how to be an effective HR leader in the mist of the COVID-19, specifically as it relates to returning to the new work landscape. Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn from each other in an open discussion. The interactive discussion will allow attendees to share organizational experiences in response to COVID-19 and hear best practices from their peers on how they are preparing their organization for reopening or return back to onsite operations. Key learning objectives include: Learning how HR's role has shifted; action steps to help HR professionals prepare their organizations as businesses reopen; and short and long-term strategies for effective leadership during the pandemic crisis.

    Dr. Jones has worked in the areas of HR, management and supervision for about 30 years in both the private and public sectors; 19 years have been in executive HR leadership positions. Currently she is the Assistant Vice President/Chief HR Officer for New Mexico State University.

    Dr. Jones earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from New Mexico State University, a Master’s degree in Management from Webster University, and a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix. She is certified as a Senior HR Professional from both SHRM and the HR Certification Institute (HRCI).

    In addition to her many years of hands on experience and leadership in the field of HR, she has taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She has served in a number of national, state and local volunteer leadership positions in NM, Nevada and TX and has served on the national Board of Directors of the HRCI. Dr. Jones is a mediator, trained by the New Mexico ADR Bureau and has received a number of leadership and professional excellence awards in the field of HR. She has provided numerous HR and leadership presentations, most recently on Personal Integrity.

    Dr. Jones is passionate about the field of human resources and organizational leadership, and truly enjoys working with HR professionals at all levels to enhance their professional portfolio of knowledge.
